About us:
The Fancy Cat Association is a guild inside of ArcheAge and out. We are looking for more people to join our community who will be good company and dabble in other multiplayer games with us (note: Archeage is our new main game after two years of Guild Wars 2). As such we are not a guild that has any sort of specialty. Our members have many interests including the more normal pursuits of crafting, trade, PvP and PvE to members who are rabid completionists and yet others that have waaay too much fun finding and raiding secret farms. We don't have any specific goals or objectives other than enjoying the game at hand, together.
Is this guild right for me? Consider if these statements sound like something you would say:
I prefer small guilds where everybody knows my name.
I think land boats are a good way to pass the time.
I like or am amused by kidnapping AFK players or pushing them off cliffs.
I don't kill my own faction, unless they start it.
I have a sense of humor. I enjoy playfully picking on my guildies, and don't mind if i'm teased in return. I might even tell a crude joke every now and then.
I do not use racist, sexist or homophobic humor because I am better than that.
I have no moral objections to pillaging mature secret farms. I do, however, believe uprooting is a sin.
I am mature enough to play with adults (but don't get me wrong, I'm silly and down for comic mischief)
Assuming I'm not otherwise busy, I would totally escort a guildie on a trade run. Even if I'm only level 10 and the best I can do is try and be a meat shield. It'll be fine!
My guildie is being harassed in a PvP zone! I'll help! What? I'm under leveled for that too? Pfft, it'll be fine.
Any of those sound like you? If so, you might just be a good fit for our guild! Just join our forums (no application required) and introduce yourself. Still not sure? If you have any questions feel free to send me a private message, reply to this thread or use our forum to contact us.
Notes:
*While many of us do like cats, you don't need to be a cat enthusiast to join. It's just a guild name. One that we find stupid and amusing.
*We actively use our mumble server while playing and are the sort of guild that does neglect in-game guild chat sometimes :/
A Brief History of the Guild:
Our guild first met during the Guild War 2 betas back in the summer of 2012. After the guild that we met in began imploding, we decided to split off and form our own guild which we dubbed Rampant Apathy [AMOK]. The only reason that name was chosen was because everyone was apathetic about naming ourselves. Our stance on our name changed though when we noticed a piece of gear obtainable in Guild Wars 2 known as the "Third-Place Medal" with a description that read "Congratulations from the Divinity's Reach Fancy Cat Association! Everyone is fancy in their own way." We joked that it would make a great guild name. Aaaand so here we are today. The Fancy Cat Association.

Even our alternate crest is fancy in it's own way... I guess.
